What changed, and when

Every notable data or site change, newest first. Facts on each page have their own source and check date; the full data set is in specsmap.json.

  1. Premium redesign and real product photos

    • Every smart-glasses model now shows a real product photo instead of an illustration, on the home page, model pages, prescription pages and the compare tool.
    • Refreshed design across the site: smoother animations, larger Order buttons and clearer "how ordering works" steps for each lab.
    • Home page counts now come straight from our data: 27 smart-glasses models tracked, 25 with prescription guides.
    • Photo credits for every image are listed on the Image credits page linked in the footer.

  2. Order buttons, lab compare tool and open data

    • Every lab option now has a clear Order button that goes to the lab's page for your exact glasses where we've found one.
    • New lab compare tool: pick your glasses and up to three labs to compare price, maximum prescription, turnaround, method, progressives and warranty side by side.
    • "How ordering works" steps for each lab: whether lenses are shipped to you or you mail your frames, and the published turnaround.
    • Open data file at /data/specsmap.json and an updated llms.txt. robots.txt now explicitly allows GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended and Bingbot.

  3. Redesigned site

    • New home page built around one question: will your prescription work in your smart glasses? It has an instant checker and the best-priced lab.
    • Model, lab and guide pages now open with a summary card. Detailed data is in collapsible sections.
    • Photo credits moved to a single Image credits page.

  4. New prescription pages

    • Even Realities G1: Even's published range (SPH +8.00 to −12.00, CYL up to ±4.00). Even stopped direct sales on 15 September 2026 and supports the G1 until 25 June 2029.
    • INMO Air3: INMO's store no longer lists Air3 or its lenses. VR Rock lists Air3 lenses at $19.
    • Xiaomi AI Glasses: online lens fitting up to −6.00 / +4.00 with CYL up to 3.00, and partner stores beyond that (China).
    • XREAL AURA: official prescription lenses at $59.90 (regular $159.90). XREAL doesn't publish a range.
    • Alibaba Quark AI Glasses S1: press-reported range of about 0 to −8.00 with factory-bonded lenses. Not indexed until a primary source confirms it.
    • Not added: Lenovo AI Glasses V1 and the Android XR audio glasses, because neither brand publishes prescription details yet.

  5. Data updates

    • XREAL One Pro: three options compared (XREAL $59.90, VR Rock $39, Frame of Choice from $99).
    • VITURE Beast: official range SPH −16.00 to +12.00, CYL ±6.00, single vision only. Options from VITURE ($79–$145), VR Rock ($59) and Lensology ($104–$125).
    • Vuzix Z100: Vuzix inserts $149.99 (ships in 4–6 weeks); Lensology $145.
    • Lab prices are now shown per model. A lab's Ray-Ban Meta price is no longer shown for other brands' frames.
