About SpecsMap
SpecsMap helps glasses wearers answer one question: how do I get my prescription into these smart glasses, who can do it, and what will it cost? We compare the official prescription route for 27 AI and XR glasses with 10 independent lens labs, and we publish owner reports on how fittings actually turned out.
How we verify
- Primary sources first: manufacturer help centers and product pages for official limits; each lab's own pages for lab prices and capabilities. Reputable press is used only when official pages are silent, and labeled as such.
- Every fact has a source and a date. The small [n] next to a value links to its source; source lists show when we last checked and whether we read the page directly.
- Unknown means unknown. Most labs don't publish a maximum prescription. We say "unknown" or "ask the lab" instead of guessing.
- Owner reports are reviewed and always shown separately from published facts.
Independence and money
SpecsMap is independent and not affiliated with Meta, EssilorLuxottica, any glasses brand or any lab. We plan to earn affiliate commissions from some labs and retailers (see disclosure). Comparison tables are always sorted by published price, never by commission, and labs can't pay to change their facts.
